The main entrance is conveniently located on Cleveland Avenue with a second on Park Avenue. The park offers a large wooden climbing structure, swings, and plenty of room to run and play.
Four covered pavillions offer picnic tables and grills to be used on a first come first serve basis throughout most of the year but should be reserved in the summer. Handicap accessibility is available on the north end of the park. Unfortunately, there are no restroom facilities available.
Located on North Lake Street and open from 8 a.m. until sunset, Amherst Beaver Creek Reservation offers 108 acres to explore. The day-use area offers covered pavilions, picnic tables, a playground, soccer field, and frisbee area. There’s also a 1.5-mile paved hiking trail for the adventurous.

Located at Hollstein Reservation just outside of the Amherst HealthPlex, the park combines water play (splash pad) with structured play (swings, sandpit, and fishing ponds) and natural play areas including a living willow hut, slide, and a stage for impromptu theatrical performances. Admission is only $2.
In addition to the playground, Amherst HealthPlex also offers structured programs for children and their families. Kids will enjoy Storytime Adventures every Wednesday morning.
For only $2/child, parents can relax while the little ones hear a story and enjoy crafts and activities with their friends. Every Friday, bring the little ones to Toddler Move and Play with Ms. Cindy where they’ll enjoy both structured sensory play and open playtime. Admission is only $2/child.
Open seasonally and located on Telegraph Road, Hillcrest Orchard Fun Farm offers a wide variety of family-friendly activities. Get out in the crisp fall air to pick your own apples or sunflowers.
Pick pumpkins, roam through the four-acre corn maze, or ride the barrel train or pedal karts. Parents can relax while the kids check out the large playground filled with swings, sandboxes, and their new 16′ spider webs built for climbing.
