4 Reasons to Get Your Toyota Repair at a Toyota Dealer

Maybe you got into an accident, or maybe your car just isn’t running like it used to. If you need a Toyota repair, you can either visit an official Toyota dealer, or you can go to an independent mechanic. Here’s why visiting your dealership is the best call you can make.

1. Getting Repairs at a Dealer Is More Convenient

You rely on your car to get around, which is why getting fast, efficient service when it needs repairs is important. Unfortunately, visiting an independent mechanic or corner garage often means waiting at least a day or two while the repair takes place. You can expect to wait even longer if your car needs a specific part the mechanics need to order in!

If you go straight to your dealership, they’ll most likely have all the parts and tools they need already on-hand. Plus, most minor repairs will only take an hour or two, so you can get back to your life faster.

2. The Mechanics Are Experts

Yes, most independent mechanics know the basics of how your car works and can perform simple repairs. But what if your car needs something a little more specialized?

In that case, you’re going to want to go to your dealer. The mechanics at dealerships often have years, sometimes even decades under their belts of working with this specific brand of car. That means that no matter what repairs your car needs, the staff at the dealer will know exactly what they’re doing.

3. Your Dealer Has Warranties

It’s not very often that private mechanics will offer warranties on their work, most of the time because they simply can’t afford them. Dealers, however, are proud of the services and products they provide, and so will offer you warranties on their work. That means that if by chance something goes wrong with your repair, your warranty will make sure that your car still gets what it needs.

If you bought your car from your dealer recently and it’s still under warranty, then most repairs will be done for you for free!

4. Your Dealer Uses OEM Parts

OEM, or original equipment manufacturer, parts are industry-standard parts that are the same parts your car came with. Your dealer will use OEM parts for all the repairs for your car. That’s a good thing because they’re the same parts your car came with, so you know that you can trust the quality.

That’s not always true for independent mechanics. Many of them don’t use OEM parts and instead use aftermarket parts. These are parts that don’t come from the original manufacturer, and the quality can vary greatly. If you want quality you can count on, you’ll want to go to your dealer.

All cars will need repairs eventually. If it’s time to bring your car in for a repair, you’ll want to take care to bring it to the right place. Your dealership is staffed with experts who know exactly how to treat your car. Visit Premier Toyota of Amherst and know your car is in good hands.

A Buyer’s Guide to the New 2021 Toyota Highlander

The Toyota Highlander is the SUV to measure all others with for the 2021 model year. With its impressive array of drive-enhancing features, slick style, and ample space, the 2021 Highlander is prepared for any trip you and your favorite people can throw at it.

Stellar Space

The 2021 Toyota Highlander is a three-row SUV that offers you and your family enough space to take on your travels with style. The Highlander seats either eight passengers or seven if you choose a model with the second-row captain’s chairs. Behind the third row, you’ll find a large truck-sized cargo space of about 16 cubic feet. With the rear row folded, this increases to 48.4 cubic feet. If you need the maximum amount of cargo volume, the Highlander offers up to 84.3 cubic feet of space with both the rear rows folded.

Powerful Performance

Rather than make you work up through trim levels for muscle like other models might require of you, the 2021 Highlander gives it to you up front. Each gasoline-exclusive model comes equipped with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that punches out 295 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque. Even the hybridize Highlander offers 243 net horsepower with its 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and electric motors. Choose the all-new XSE trim for access to the sport-tuned suspension system. Opt for a model equipped with the dynamic torque vectoring all-wheel drive for a greater level of traction on rough and slick roads.

Next-Level Safety

To ensure you stay on the road safely in your Highlander, Toyota has made many of its advanced driver-assist technologies standard. These include the game-changing pre-collision assist system with low-light pedestrian detection, full-speed dynamic radar cruise control, and a lane-departure alert with steering assist. If you want to make your Highlander even more of a co-pilot, choose a model outfitted with the available blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.

Tech Appeal

The 2021 Highlander also gives you access to some connective and entertaining tech worth checking out. A touch-screen display comes standard on every model, as do Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa compatibility. Allow the whole cabin to stay connected on the go with the available Wi-Fi hot spot. Keep their devices charged with the five USB ports and two 12-volt outlets. Give your SUV a concert-hall quality sound with the 11-speaker JBL sound system.

Your SUV, Your Way

Toyota knows there’s no one-size-fits-all SUV. That’s why the 2021 Highlander is offered in an array of trim levels: L, LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and Platinum. As you move up through these trim levels, you’ll outfit your SUV with the features you’re most excited about. Choose the XLE to get heated front seats with SofTex-trimmed upholstery that looks and feels good. Get the XSE for a sportier appearance with ambient interior lighting. The Limited adds ventilation to the front seats, as well as leather upholstery and a heated steering wheel. You get to build your Highlander to fit your style.

Come and get your test drive of the impressive new 2021 Toyota Highlander today. Once you experience the road from behind the wheel of this next-level SUV, you may not want to drive anything else.

Some of the specialties featured here include the Taco pie (with your choice of meat or chicken), the Seven Layer Veggie, the Chicago Melt, and the Deluxe. If you’re not a fan of deep-dish crust, you can also choose from the thin, square, or loaded crust.

Taking a Look at the 2021 Toyota Highlander

The 2021 Toyota Highlander improves yet again on what has become known as a very reasonably priced yet comfortable, spacious, and reliable car. Even if you are familiar with past models of the Highlander, there are a few key improvements this year that you should note. Alternately, if you know very little and are in need of a basic guide, this is also an excellent starting place.

Basics About the Toyota Highlander

The Highlander is a mid-size crossover SUV developed by Toyota. Though Toyota is a Japanese company, they have longstanding engineering and manufacturing facilities all over the United States. The company likes to emphasize giving back to the communities they serve by partnering with local charities, nonprofits, art centers, and more. Some of their partnerships here in Ohio include the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and the Cincinnati Institute of Fine Arts.

The Highlander model made its debut in both Japan and the United States in 2000 and has maintained popularity ever since. In 2004, Toyota updated the line to include a hybrid model, with great success. Both the hybrid and the standard models have three rows and unibody construction.

Pricing

The Highlander starts at $34,910 and can run up to a little over $50,000 if you purchase the premium trim, plus a full range of extras. Extras could include an all-wheel drive, certain special body colors, floor liners, and exterior protection accessories.

New Features for 2021

The Highlander was fully redesigned in 2020 to include a new V6 engine and deluxe touchscreen infotainment center, so you wouldn’t necessarily expect dramatic improvements for the 2021 year. However, Toyota has actually come out with a whole new trim, the XSE model. It boasts a sporty look and feel, decidedly unique compared to the other trim styles. The other main upgrade this year is the addition of LED headlights.

Safety

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has named the 2021 Highlander one of only five midsize SUVs to earn their best possible Top Safety Pick+ rating. It comes equipped with the top-of-the-line safety program Toyota Safety Sense, which includes features like pedestrian detection, lane tracking assist, and lane departure alert.

Reliability

In 2019, an automotive research firm conducted a study of 15.8 million preowned cars in order to document which manufacturers and models were most likely to still be running after 200,000 miles. Of the top five models, three were made by Toyota, including the hybrid version of the Highlander. Granted, you may be seduced by another upgrade before reaching 200,000 miles on your own Highlander, but it’s nice to know that the durability of your vehicle is unmatched.

Now that we’ve introduced you to some of the details about the latest Toyota Highlander, it’s time for you to come drive one for yourself. Come into Premier Toyota of Amherst today! We’ll be happy to take you for a test drive and walk you through any other questions you may have. We can’t wait to see you.
