ASK ME ABOUT MY iQ... SCION'S NEW "SMART" CAR
Scion's first microcompact makes its way onto showrooms this month. The iQ will be Scion's fifth ever new model and Toyota's first attempt at
creating a vehicle in the "microcompact" category tailored to the urban driver.
The vehicle seats 3.5 people comfortably. I know what you're thinking: how do
you seat a half person? Consider that seat sufficient enough for a child or
other small person. At first glance, one might wonder "Is it safe?", "Does it have good fuel economy?", or "Is there enough cargo room?" To answer all these questions: YES! The Scion iQ will be the first ever vehicle to feature 11.. yes, 11 standard airbags, i
ncluding the industry's first rear window airbag. The vehicle is rated at 36 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. Compared to the Smart ForTwo and the Fiat 500, the iQ's handling and acceleration is faster and more crisp. The rear seat folds down for improved storage space and extra "hidden compartments" allow you to store items in, literally, every nook and cranny. Interested in the iQ? Premier Toyota has one available to rent if you'd like to take it for a test drive! While the rental rate is yet to be determined, feel free to email us for more information.
BUILD YOUR OWN EMERGENCY CAR KIT
While we have been lucky so far this year, eventually mother nature will dump inches (if not feet) of snow on Northern Ohio. It could be today, tomorrow, next week, or next year. Even with the healthiest of vehicles, unforseen accidents do occur. It's always handy to have a few extra essentials in your vehicle for these potentially-brutal winter months. Items like extra gloves, a blanket, a water bottle, or dehydrated snacks can provide useful in emergency situations. A first aid kit will also become useful. If you'd rather just purchase a Toyota Emergency Assistance Kit, we can help there, too!

Items Included in the Toyota Emergency Assistance Kit:
- Booster cables
- Hose clamp and tape
- Work gloves
- Survival blankets
- Tire pressure gauge
- A flashlight/lantern
- A water bag
- ...and more
If you are interested in purchasing this Emergency Kit or if you have questions about it, please call our Parts Department at (877) 408-0480 or email Damian Dion at ddion@premiertoyota.com.
LEXUS TOPS DEPENDABILITY STUDY, TOYOTA AND SCION IN TOP 5
J.D. Power & Associates completed a dependability study this week that measured the number of problems for each vehicle brand. Lexus earned the top spot as the brand with fewest problems experienced by owners. Toyota held on to a Top 5 position while Scion greatly improved from a previous study. At the smaller segment level, Toyota had 8 winners including the Yaris (subcompact), Prius (compact), and Tundra (pickup truck). For complete details, click here.
